Making the recording 'Feel Awareness Change the Pain'

Me, recording ‘Feel Awareness Change the Pain’

Greetings, friends!  I’m excited to share today’s post with you, #7 in our Pain Experiment.

Because here, you’ll find a brand new recording I made for you called ‘Feel Awareness Change the Pain’.  It weaves together a number of the key concepts we’ve introduced so far in The Pain Experiment. And more importantly, in the recording, I walk you, talk you, guide you, moment-by-moment, sensation-by-sensation through the experience of feeling your awareness change your pain.

It doesn’t matter if a pain you want to be free of is physical, emotional or mental.  When you follow the recording to work from the level of pure awareness – all pain responds the same way.  By changing… softening… dissolving.

First, a ‘heads up’ before you click on the button below to start listening.

The recording is 25 minutes long.  You’ll want to play it when you have 25 minutes to devote to it exclusively.

You won’t get the benefit if you multi-task while listening.

You won’t get the benefit if you listen for awhile and opt out partway through.

The healing state deepens as the recording progresses.  If you’re going to listen at all, do yourself the favor of listening right to the end.

Otherwise, don’t bother.

Awareness itself relieves pain and to discover that for yourself, you’ll need to put all of your awareness on the pain, undistracted, long enough for your awareness of the pain to do it’s work.

Make sense?

If your attention is divided or you’re only half-committed to doing the work, less of your awareness is available to work with the pain.

So, ask yourself these 3 questions.

  • Do I have 25 minutes right now?
  • Do I have a quiet place to sit or lie down undisturbed for the next 25 minutes?
  • Have I made the decision that if I click play, I’ll listen the whole way through?

If so, click play and feel awareness – your awareness – change the pain.

If not, the recording will be here for later, when you have the time or made the decision to devote your awareness – all of it – to address the pain.

To play on your mobile device or computer:

Or to download the mp3:

When you’re done, tell us what you experienced below!

(Also, as an fyi, this recording gives you a pretty good sense of what it’s like to work with me one-to-one.  If you want me to work with you on an issue live, here’s how.)

See you back here on Tuesday, Nov 15 for Post #8 in The Pain Experiment.

(PS. We’ve postponed next Tuesday’s post in anticipation that the US presidential election may have your attention that day.)

Hi Wendy and Co-Leaders, 🙂
This was such a beautiful experience! I felt like I was embarking on a journey that took me to the Origination point of pain. Considering all of the information and tools from the previous posts, I knew I needed to really drill into awareness to reveal truth. I thought I had taken time to do that but apparently not – there were still flares of pain.

This experience definitely blew out shredded emotions that were slyly tied to pain. I had a comical image of cleaning out a closet – I would acknowledge the emotion with respect and then consider the shape, color and seasonal significance that unearthed the life happening that served as the link. Without getting caught up in the past, I’d mentally toss it into the pile. Whatever coping purpose it served, it was no longer necessary or in alignment with my best outcome.

The pain is gone and yet it was so fascinating and empowering that I must do it again! 🙂

Thank you Wendy! Such wonderful tools you and the Co-Leaders are sharing! 🙂

I noticed after moving around the house more my pain level in my low back is down more. I also “saw” during the recording stuff being pulled out in a stream of particles off into the sky into the distance. Cool!

That was a fascinating recording! I stayed home today from work because my lower back had become extremely painful. It was the perfect opportunity to listen to the recording. I became extremely relaxed and comfortable and my post surgical hand pain has decreased. My lower back seems to have lessened a bit. I can certainly see that this would be very useful to use repeatedly! I did realize how much anxiety I had about the back pain potentially becoming much worse rather than saying yes. Thank you so much Wendy!

That’s wonderful, Lynda. I’m so happy for you.

I fell into a semi-sleep and heard the recording go off. When I got up the emotional pain felt less heavy as if it had been broken up into small pieces.

Thank you.

Isn’t it amazing, SuzA? Our bodies know what to do with our pain when we let them do their thing!

Hi Wendy,
This was really interesting! I picked an emotional pain regarding an issue I was experiencing. It didn’t take very long to start changing. I went from anger to sadness very quickly. My face got hot and I started to sweat. I almost fell asleep a few times too. When the recording was over I felt different about the issue. I feel lighter it doesn’t bother me anymore. Also the person seemed to change also. Treating me better. Lots has changed! Thank you – this is amazing. I love it!!
