Watch Emotions Alter Physical Matter in this Video!

by Wendy Down on January 20, 2015

$3000 Experiment graphicWhen selecting a launch date for The $3000 Experiment, co-leader Janice proposed January 1, (our ultimate choice), saying, “We could teach people how not to make this a New Year’s resolution but a time to learn new tools for the rest of their lives.”

One tool that will serve you forever is becoming sensitive to the direct link between your inner world and what manifests in the world around you.

The thoughts and feelings that make up your intangible ‘inner experience’ are a powerful force coordinating physical events and circumstances. Even physical stuff like money.

We want you to have a revelation about this as a result of this experiment.

We chose money as our experiment focus because, for most of us, the prospect of receiving a handsome sum of unexpected money is compelling enough reason to temporarily suspend our usual ‘vibe’ about money long enough to witness the impact this suspension has on our financial picture.

The video below demonstrates this inner/outer link beautifully!

In the video, you see artist Lisa Parks sitting amidst 48 ‘vibration pools’ intentionally feeling specific emotions.  She wears a headset that captures her brainwaves as they track the changes in her emotions. (Side note: yes, it’s possible to consciously and deliberately alter your emotions!) Parks’ emotional/brain wave patterns are then broadcast to speakers lying beneath the vibration pools.

The speakers pulse her feelings (via the signals from her headset), creating visible wave patterns in the pools of water above them.  Her art form is the vibrating, dancing water created as she alters the waves in the pools by deliberately altering how she feels. (This demonstration is highly relevant to your $3000 experiment because, here, you are deliberately altering your own ‘vibes’ regarding money!)

Park’s project also mirrors the reason for The $3000 Experiment.

She explains, “I started working with […] the headset, because I questioned, how can I take this invisible energy and emotions and make it visible? When I am feeling certain emotions (anger, sadness, happiness), I believe that what’s inside me, more than 60% of water in human body, will create vibrations/energy within myself. So, I wanted to create an artwork that represents the inner part of myself.”

(Note: Skip ahead to 2:05 to go straight to the best part…)

In The $3000 Experiment we are doing the same thing.  Only, instead of using water as our medium of translating the energy of emotion into physical structure, we are using money.

Over the 3 months of the experiment, your ‘inner vibration’ about money and abundance is changing.   In fact, you are probably already feeling different in certain ways.  An intangible change in how you feel, maintained long enough, becomes observable in the physical world you see, touch… and spend.

Its simple physics.

You might notice new feelings of excitement.  Optimism.  Energy.  Possibility.  Community. (What else???)

If you’d had Parks’ sensitive equipment on you while you thought of money before, you would have seen, with your eyes, the patterns, in water, that your vibe about money made then.

And if you had her equipment now, you’d see, with your own eyes, how your vibe has already changed.

You might see the water dance when you focus on how you feel about your Transformational Space.

You’d watch the water come alive in response to what you feel when you read these posts.  Or when you resonate with a comment left by a fellow participants.

The emotions you feel as you log each positive result, would physicalize as movement in the water.  (How cool would that be?)

Even though you don’t have the equipment, you can use this understanding to your benefit by simply noticing any good feelings that arise. Enjoy them… bask in them when they are present!

To take this a step further, an extremely powerful way to solidify any vibe is to write down what you’re experiencing, feeling and noticing.

Writing your realizations and experiences about this experiment down makes them more real, more physical.  (Literally, through writing, your intangible experience becomes something … words on a page.  Get it?)

Did you silently feel magic when you found that dime in a meaningful place?  Were you delighted by an unexpected gift last week?  Did you receive a sum so big you’re embarrassed to confess it?

Who are we kidding?  We know you did!

Because of the stories you are telling us privately.   (Side note: Why is it popular to share these these great stories privately rather than posting them as comments here? If, as a participant, you can shed some light on this phenomenon, we’re curious!)

To enhance the solidification of your changing vibe about money, we want to devote an upcoming post to some of your stories.

So here’s our invitation to you to take a risk!

Think of the most positive thing that has happened to you regarding this experiment so far.  And see how it deepens your vibe by writing the story down.

Then… take a big breath and share, with us, the story you wrote!

You can either post your writing here as a comment, or if you prefer, send it to me privately at wendy@wendydown.com.

We’ll pull some of your stories together (anonymously if you like) in a really wonderful way.  Seriously, there’s nothing like seeing your own story woven into an inspirational piece – and we’re offering you the chance!

In summary, marinate in a good-news money story and see what happens!  Up your game by writing it down.  Play the extreme sport by sending the story to us.

See you back here on Friday, Jan 24, with a great story – and insight – that Janice and Rodney Dietert can’t wait to share!

In response to: ” (Side note: Why is it popular to share these these great stories privately rather than posting them as comments here? If, as a participant, you can shed some light on this phenomenon, we’re curious!)”

This is stretching the memory banks of something I was taught, have read in numerous books (older sources) and biblical teachings, and also have experienced myself.

It’s along the lines of maintaining and encompassing the energy for greater effect and not to disperse it willy nilly, which can dilute the experience. Being aware of whom it’s shared with so as not to be “stolen” or outside influences hooking into it.
Hmm, how to explain. : Matthew 6:6 – New International Version
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
This is to do with the ego. Not sharing publicly is to do with humility, and being humble in the gratitude, instead of drawing attention to you.
This link may explain it for those interested: http://www.truthunity.net/mbi/matt.-6

I have also experienced it myself, when trying to explain an experience during a silent retreat. No words can explain it, and to do so, can as Osho described it, becomes a story, that wants to be re-lived from the past, instead of the now. Like a addict who is wanting to have the same experience as their 1st hit, they go back wanting to re-live and never attaining it, because we have moved from that to the here and now, to experience the joy of what is now.

I hope that has shed some light.

This adventure began on 1/1 with me finding two “state quarters” in a little tin where I keep my theatre tickets. I don’t recall ever putting money in there, yet the special quarters were undeniably there, staring up at me from the bottom of the tiny box. One was New Mexico – Land of Enchantment – and the other Nevada – Great Basin National Park. Both are significant because they represent a part of the country I absolutely adore as well as my love of nature. Additionally, I have had a number of spiritual, life-changing experiences in both of these states. Since then, I received an unexpected $38 off of a photo order (which I had been putting off because I knew it was going to be costly) and $100.45 off of another retail purchase. When I was in NYC recently, there was a draft in my room caused by a faulty window frame, and I asked to be moved to another room. Instead of another standard room, they moved me to a BEAUTIFUL suite for my inconvenience. Sweet! And just last week I had forgotten about a travel check reimbursement I had coming from November and a gift certificate that I received for helping one of my soul sisters in December. And last but not least, my next workshop filled effortlessly. Thank you all. I am thoroughly enjoying the experiment, especially intentionally looking for unexpected gifts of abundance in my life.

This past week I was between pay checks with just my credit card.
To make sure I had enough cash to get lunch at the local library cafeteria for the next four days I asked a close friend to lend me twenty bucks. The cafeteria doesn’t take credit cards. The day my friend said he would lend me the 20 dollars I thought he forgot, so I went to the bank directly so that I could withdraw 5 dollars for lunch that day because I only had what I thought was 9 dollars left total in my account. To my surprise there was 20 dollars extra in my bank account. So later I thanked my close friend for putting the extra cash in my account for me. But he said he didn’t, and asked me if I still needed to borrow the 20 I originally asked for. Puzzled I wondered how did that extra 20 get in there? Never found out, yet glad it worked out.

Just an update going back to the very beginnings of this adventure.

I’m kind of on a fixed income so my logical mind could not fathom the idea that I could increase last year’s income this year, but I was willing to hold that as being true.

Just got notice that the managers of an investment I held for about 10 years had been short-changing the investors each year. Now that they have been found out, I will be receiving money this year that was generated not just in one past year, but for ****multiple**** years before.

Wendy Down January 23, 2015 at 7:26 pm

How wonderful, Nancy!

Kristin Clarke January 22, 2015 at 1:47 pm

The video was awesome…I am now playing with sensing the 70% of me that is water, (and so most of me is already fluid..which is on my emergence list!), and feeling the inner vibes of my range of emotions. When they say someone’s “blood boils”..perhaps they were correct.

As for the $3000 experiment, I had received a massive hydro bill this month even though I was not in my home. After totally going berserk, I really wanted to apply the game tools to it. After some deep breathing and dancing to “I’m happy”, I uncrinkled the bill and made it into the base for a sacred space. placing a few items that wanted to join in this cosmic fun.

Three days later, I am at Wendy’s Playdate and had the opportunity to face the old fear and the 3D inner critics yelling “you’ve got $5 dollars in your account and have your Hydro due tomorrow…” followed by some school ground name-calling, and waves of anxiety.

Wendy expertly guided us into that open space of receptivity and boundless potential which is where all is possible. It’s all there..no need to grasp from my desparate mind. Next day I received a gift that covered the bill and then an additional $200 for good measure! OMG!

Thank you to the whole group for the support and clear intentions, and sharing of ideas that always spark hope and renewed awareness for me! Being more involved in a like-minded group was also on my 2015 intentions list and here you are..YEAH!
So happy I’m purring…
Kristin

Wendy Down January 23, 2015 at 7:27 pm

So happy for you, Kristin! And thanks for writing this out so vividly so the rest of us could really know what this was like for you.

Nancy January 22, 2015 at 3:34 am

Wendy- People “share these these great stories privately”, that’s sad. With a group effort I think it’s great to see what is actually happening with others!

I expected a steep $700.00 co-pay for a medical issue a few days ago. I found out it will only be about $250.00!!! Ka ching!

Wendy Down January 23, 2015 at 7:29 pm

Yay, Nancy 🙂 I suspect part of it is that we’re not used to taking about the specifics of our financial situations – especially publicly.

Renee January 22, 2015 at 12:30 am

Awesome video. It does help to see emotions made real! I have been experiencing a lot of sweet synchronicities since embarking on this experiment. One of the most recent: my husband and I went to a sushi bar for lunch that some friends had recommended in a city that is over an hour away from the town where we all live. The restaurant was a busy place, and I was hungry, but we put our name on the list, and I went to use the restroom. When I returned, these same friends were standing next to my husband! A short time later, we were all seated, and had a fabulous lunch with fun conversation. I felt so good about it all day long!

I am in this with the “$3000 or more” intention. Shortly after I made my TS, I got an email from a couple who had seen my blog (a miracle in itself!) and were interested in the work I do. I had a consultation with them a few days ago, was inspired to pitch them my services in a different way then I have worked in the past, and have an extra $570 as a result. Definitely, the work of this experiment and my changing vibe!

I so appreciate this coaching. Thank you!

Wendy Down January 23, 2015 at 7:30 pm

How fun, Renee. It doesn’t get better than that, does it?

Elizabeth Richards January 21, 2015 at 2:21 am

Hi, Wendy and everyone – that is a very cool video. I have a fun story – it’s not so much about money, but it was amazing, and shows me that doing this with money will work the same way. I am a singer, and on my way to my gig last Friday night, I decided to really get into the feeling state – a la Neville Goddard – of total love and connection. I wanted to have an amazing night at this Cuban bar where I would be singing. On the way there, I decided also that since it was VERY cold outside I wanted a parking spot very close to the bar. I just kept telling myself “I AM loving, I am connected, I am beauty, I am love, I am kind, I am inspiring, I am loving, I am creative, I am fun, I am joyful, etc etc. I really got myself worked up. As many of us have heard, I AM can be a powerful way to speak, and of course, to watch what we say AFTER “I am” – for instance, maybe say, “I feel sick” instead of “I am sick”, if you need to say it at all, etc.. Anyway, I also literally could not feel the cold when I thought of parking, because I was feeling parking so close to the club. When I arrived, a car was right in front of the closest spot, but she did not want the spot! (This is NYC, amazing!!!) She moved up and allowed me to back in – boom, just like that, I was steps from the door, hardly felt the cold at all! Then the night that followed – I can only say that everyone in the place made friends with each other, had a blast, the band had never sounded better or been happier. At the end of the night, the musicians said, “wow, this was such an incredible night!” I didn’t tell them of my meditation, but I knew that love had preceded me, I sent it ahead of me, as Marianne Williamson has also spoken about. So I am excited to apply this to money – I did get an unexpected check this week for a very nice amount, but it was from the closing of a trust, so I don’t know that my actions directly affected it. Anyway, I hope this is inspiring, it really made me want to keep doing it every day for everything!!!

Wendy Down January 23, 2015 at 7:33 pm

Soooo inspiring, Elizabeth. I love how deliberately you focussed on and sustained the vibe you want to be – and experienced the impact so dramatically. Such a great demonstration of how worth it it is to spend time sculpting our inner state. Thank you!

Linda D January 20, 2015 at 8:49 pm

I have been consciously focusing more and more on the good feelings I will feel as it shows up, and a kind of exuberance has overtaken me! I feel like I am magic, my budget is magic, my whole life is magic.
I felt compelled to add a few items to my sacred space. I re-read all the posts of this experiment, in a row, to get the momentum of optimism going. I do the Front Door exercise each morning when I leave the house….thus far, I have had some lottery wins: $1000, 100, 500, 100….every time I have found change on the ground and added it to my coffee can in my Sacred Space. I do a little happy dance inside, when I grocery shop and most of the items on my list are on special this week.

Today, in my 42 mile commute to work, and at lunchtime errands, ALL THE LIGHTS WERE GREEN! EVERYWHERE, EVERY TIME! I have a green light, and I have chosen to play large with a “$3,000,000.00 and more” target.

Today, I felt the intuition to buy THIS scratcher (lottery ticket) and as I sat down I said “How about some WINS?”…….it was $500!
This is incredible magical fun!!

linda D January 21, 2015 at 1:12 am

Update, my husband and I were talking the other day about retiring to Florida so we can scuba and garden year round. Not sure how that would happen. He dislikes “woo-woo” and is uninformed that I am in this experiment.

I have one of those little round floaty-ball compasses on my dashboard and all day long, no matter which way the car turned, it would change its direction reading for a moment and then go right back to south-southeast: a direct line from here, to Florida! LOL

Wendy Down January 23, 2015 at 7:35 pm

Nicely done, Linda! And what a great idea to get your momentum going by going back to the beginning of this experiment and reread the posts one after the other. I’m going to do that myself 🙂

Another Linda D January 24, 2015 at 2:21 pm

I have to smile every time I read one of your posts… as my first thought is, ‘I don’t remember posting…’ LOL. Maybe some of your scratch ticket luck will rub off!

Yesterday I had my oil tank filled, $500+ … this would normally evoke an OUCH! But instead I felt thankful, as I paid $750 for nearly the same amount of oil the last time. 🙂

Linda D January 28, 2015 at 7:00 pm

Hello, “Another Linda D.” I am going to re-read this post the next time we need our tank filled, maybe it will only cost $500 in this reality as well, LOL!!

Neva January 20, 2015 at 7:04 pm

Wendy: My blessing box is so full already of unexpected blessings and cash. And all sorts of savings happening. Today, I found a bottle of this organic colored skin moisturizer that I used to love, sitting all alone on a shelf at half price, as if waiting for me. These sorts of things are happening so much now. I love that you posted this video. I had seen it before but while watching it this time and reading your comments, I got an inspiration to keep a bottle of water here at my desk (in my transformed space) so that every time I drink from it, it will be filling me with the vibration of my intention. I went big. I went for $300,000. I’ll let you know how it goes! Neva

Wendy Down January 23, 2015 at 7:37 pm

Love your creativity, Neva. Yes, keep us posted please!

Marnyka January 20, 2015 at 6:07 pm

my husband’s tags were expired on his 2004 Jeep Wrangler for almost a year. The dealership said it failed inspection and would cost $2200 to pass. Everytime my husband would ask me what to do, I would keep getting the same answer from within, don’t do anything yet. 2 weeks ago, my car had a broken belt in one of the tires and I had to replace 2 of my tires. Having to take me to the dealership, the conversation of his jeep came up again. I told him that it might be a good idea to take it to Carmax since they will do an appraisal even if you don’t buy one of their cars. So he started looking in the price range we thought would work for our budget. This past Friday, he went to Carmax, they appraised his jeep with 139,000 miles on in for $7,000! The car he was looking at was $12,900 minus the $7,000 equals $5,900! It’s a 2010 VW Passat Komfort. It was the smoothest car buying transaction he has ever had and it was by far the cheapest. The number I have been focusing on is $30,000. I add this $7k to that.

Wendy Down January 23, 2015 at 7:38 pm

wow, Marnyka – that’s a great story. You go, girl!

Karen T. January 20, 2015 at 4:27 pm

Wendy ~ Thank you for posting that video! Yes, there is something “more” about visibly seeing it!! It is exciting!!

Wendy Down January 20, 2015 at 4:31 pm

Isn’t it, Karen? I came across it weeks ago and saved it to share… today!

Janice January 20, 2015 at 4:02 pm

Ok, now that was the most awesome video I’ve ever seen. I’ve been a firm believer in emotions impacting water having read Emoto’s work. But seeing it so physically represented by thought waves picked up by an EEG and impacting water in a way that makes it dance is truly spectacular. Thanks Wendy.

Wendy Down January 20, 2015 at 4:16 pm

Pretty great, isn’t it Janice!
