In my last post, I mentioned that 3 seasoned and well-respected teachers and explorers of consciousness and I are setting up a new Experiment. It’s designed to yield a real tangible, specific, desirable benefit to all who takes part. A result you can see and touch.
We’re doing it for fun and to see what happens when we collude with many others by distance on a large scale. It comes with a price tag of $0 (zero, zilch, free) too.
Over the weeks ahead, we’ll explain:
* what the topic of the Experiment is
* the scientific and spiritual principles that underlie it.
* what you can do to take part
* when it will launch
* and personal insights from each the 4 Experiment leaders about what has led us to this.
Everything will happen right here in the Consciousness Playground. You can interact with us by leaving comments and questions below each post. You can invite your friends.
To set the playful tone, we’re kicking off with the story of a light-hearted experiment the four of us embarked on about a year ago.
One of us wanted something we didn’t feel she could easily have and we all colluded to see if her desire could be realized.
It could. It did. And it is.
We want to take the same journey of delighted discovery with you too, albeit on a very different subject than you’re about to read about below.
We’ll talk about the topic later, but it will be something specific you want but don’t think you can easily have and by colluding together we’ll see if you can, over a pre-determined period of time, realize it.
During the waiting period, we’ll share stories, insights, scientific ideas, processes and other goodies that will be fun to take part in. And at the end, you’ll measure.
One of our members, Rodney, dubbed us “The 4 Consciouseers.”
But not Conscious EARS like you see in the cartoon here.
Internationally recognized scientist, prolific writer and lecturer, Rodney Dietert.
And l’il ole me.
Today, Janice is telling the story of the sweet experiment we came to call ‘the Sampson Project’.
The Sampson Project or ‘Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Long Hair’.
Hi, I’m Janice, one of the Consciouseers partnering on the upcoming Experiment. This Experiment got a helping hand from another experiment that has been ongoing since late 2013. That was one that Ken, Wendy, my husband, Rodney, and I partnered on with great success to date.
I’m a Seeker, curious about the world, how things work, and how they might work differently. Brought up in a strict Protestant family, miracles and transformations were solely in the hands of God, no human intervention desired other than to plead and beg. However, when my late husband nearly died from congestive heart failure and survived for a while with a severely weakened heart, I went on a quest. Miracles happened in the past through humans; the Bible was full of those examples. How might that have been?
What did those people do that we have forgotten?
Eighteen years later, I’ve learned several modalities and have mastered a few. I have actually seen miraculous things happen right before my eyes. But as my favorite dowsing instructor, Raymon Grace, says, “When a tool stops working for you, it’s time to learn something new.”
I had participated in Wendy’s Consciousness Playground for a couple of years, and I was familiar with Ken from a modality we have in common. Then I saw that he was doing something called “Organ Regeneration,” which intrigued me. In late 2012 when it seemed obvious that I might be facing a cancer diagnosis and all my other known modalities seemed to be missing the mark, I decided to try this “new stuff” and contacted Ken.
I had a session with him, which entailed reading a process while in a place I’d consecrated as sacred for the work. After the session, Ken remained very supportive of me, even when cancer was formally diagnosed and I chose to have surgery. The difference was, initially the tests had pointed toward invasive cancer, when in the end it was Stage 1, well contained and slow growing. Before surgery, we did another process to create the best surgery, outcome and recovery possible.
Since it was abdominal surgery, I knew I wouldn’t want to be standing 30 minutes at a time drying and styling my very thick hair. So I opted for a mega short, wash-and-go pixie cut. My poor hubby was so afraid that I’d never grow it out again, he kept a curl in a plastic Ziploc bag.
Surgery went well; recovery was a bit tougher. It took months before I was out of pain. Every day, I’d look in the mirror and not recognize the person staring back at me. For anyone who has ever had cancer or major surgery, you know how important to your mental health recapturing some essence of your former self can be.
My hair was that essence and I wanted it back. And sooner than seemed possible.
In the past, I’ve grown my hair from short to long. In the winter, it might grow 1/2 an inch a month, while in the summer it might approach an inch each month. Research I did online was no more encouraging with several blogs chronicling young women in their twenties taking three years or more to grow a pixie cut to long length again. Only, my impatience to recapture my essence was growing.
Then I noticed that Ken and Wendy were partnering in the “ethers” to do a different type of work on things less serious than mere health; things like improving the looks of a nose, or age reversal, etc. The pictures looked interesting but sometimes I wasn’t sure if I was actually noticing the change they were reporting. Then it occurred to me. I knew how I could get my long hair faster AND provide Ken and Wendy with some real, live data (see what happens to your thought process when you live with a career scientist).
So, I approached them with the idea of doing a hair growth experiment, which Ken dubbed The Sampson Project. (Sampson was an Old Testament Biblical personage who was strong while his hair was long, but weak when it was cut. He was tricked into a haircut, captured by his enemies but bested his enemies in the end once his hair grew back out long. Rapunzel was a secondary, contemporary reference since the Disney movie had come out around that time.)
My goal was and is to grow out my hair to a length of 24 inches or more as measured down the back.
My husband, Rodney, would both take photo records and the measurements, something a career scientist is good at.
I was confident that after we met in the “ethers,” I’d get my long hair fast, and they’d get more objective data to prove the effectiveness of their new joint efforts.
On December 8, 2013 Rodney took the first photos and measurements (7 inches down the back).
I had stopped getting it cut super short the month before, and at the time my hair was still rather straight, which helped with measuring its length. Of course I was asking for a resurgence of my natural waves as well.
And right away, my hair started growing an inch or more a month. In. The. Winter!
By March 2014, my hair was noticeably longer and look at the curl! That was all scrunched as I blow dried. I was thrilled. The only drawback was the curl made measuring difficult because my hair flipped up everywhere.
To add to the fun, Ken originally wanted my ALF doll involved and for two weeks, his top knot even grew from 4 inches long to 5 inches long.Later it shrank back to normal.
Just as delightful, a girlfriend of mine I spent a lot of time with noticed something unusual. She had thyroid challenges and her hair had NEVER EVER grown past her shoulders. Yet, as my own experiment progressed, each time I colored her hair for her, it was obvious something was happening.
Her hair somehow became entangled in my hair’s growth field, and this has been the result (photo by permission). Like a wink from the universe, her hair is now at the length I set as my personal goal!
Technically, it would measure longer but at one point, my hairstylist, who has repeatedly commented on how fast my hair is growing, caught it up to the sides so I wouldn’t look weird. Still, the length is impressive and talk about curl!
Now, I look in the mirror every day and I recognize the face looking back at me. I tell my hair how beautiful it is, and I feel more and more hopeful of regaining other aspects of my lost self.
The processes, these entanglements in the quantum field are very powerful and bring about results you can only hope for. You expect a change and then sit back prepared to be amazed. I know I am!”
Thanks Janice. It takes courage for any of us to share our stories, photos and feelings here for all to see. If you have a comment for Janice, leave it below where she’ll be sure to see it.
